Now you can stop wondering if the Lakers will amnesty Kobe Bryant. The team will reportedly use the amnesty clause on Metta World Peace. This move will save the Lakers tax $8.3 million. World Peace wasn’t effective this past season with the Lakers. Which shouldn’t have surprised anyone, considering he had already lost a step in the  ’11-’12 season.

World Peace injured his knee in March and had surgery to repair his torn meniscus and managed to return for the playoffs but didn’t contribute much with age and injury both being a factor. Metta World Peace won one championship with the Lakers as Ron Arterst.

World Peace posted a prediction for next season on Twitter Sunday, stating that the Lakers and Rockets would be facing off in the Western Conference Finals. I wonder if he pictured himself as a spectator.
