Terrell Owens is second only to Jerry Rice in career receiving yards. Common sense says he’s a first-ballot Hall of Famer. But the end of Terrell’s career finds him broke, alone and playing football in the Indoor Football League. Certainly not things you’d associate with a Hall of Famer.

Terrell Owens announced his official return to football via Twitter on Wednesday. Nope, he wasn’t picked up to play with the Giants, Niners, Ravens or Patriots. T.O. is officially a member- and part-owner- of the Allen Wranglers. The Wranglers are a part of the 16-team Indoor Football League. Allen is a suburb in Dallas.

Since I live in L.A., I’m often asked where can you go to find the “ballers.” My usual response is anywhere. But now, I have a new answer, the LA County Superior Courthouse.
On Wednesday, January 4th there were 2 NFL stars, an NBA and an MMA legend there to handle child support issues.

I guess this is the point where you say *stuff* just got real for Terrell Owens. T.O. was in a California court recently attempting to get payments lowered for two of his children’s monthly child support payments. The judge apparently keeps up with both sports and reality TV and let Terrell know it’s probably a good time to start seeking out other employment options.
Terrell Owens To Sign With Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League

No NFL team has made moves to pick up free agent Terrell Owens. T.O. believes that he can bring value to a team heading into the playoffs. But now, it looks as if the team he could be helping is actually in the Indoor Football League.
I have no clue where this league exists but the money, between $250,000 and $500,000 plus an ownership stake in the team, sounds very real. In light of the recent revelations about Terrell’s money problems, can he really say no?
