It’s almost February which means MLB jocks will be readying the start of spring training. Dodgers star Matt Kemp usually spends the off season in Arizona and was recently spotted court side at a Phoenix Suns game. It’s ok Matt, we’ll loan your fandom out while you train but court side in LA is what’s really hot!

LA Dodgers star Matt Kemp was in attendance on Friday at Power 106′s Cali Christmas concert. Matt also introduced the night’s headliner, Drake. That’s funny right?

It’s official, Matt Kemp has signed his 8-year $160 Million dollar extension with the Dodgers. The deal is structured to be new owner friendly with the first payment being $10 Million dollars in 2012. Check the details:

At least one piece of good news has emerged in my sport’s world today. LA Dodgers star Matt Kemp is close to re-signing with the club for eight years and a total of $160 million.
Although the team has filed for bankruptcy as part of owner Frank McCourt’s divorce settlement, the move does not have to be cleared by courts.

Dodgers Matt Kemp, Clayton Kershaw and Andre Ethier received their Gold Glove in New York on Friday night. Matt didn’t get too comfortable on the east coast though. He flew right back to the west coast to participate in the Dream 2 Acheive charity basketball game taking place in San Francisco. Other participants include 49ers Vernon Davis, Matt Barnes, Earl Watson, Dorell Wright and Ryan Hollins.

Dodgers star Matt Kemp was spotted out in London with his ex- Rihanna last month. But Kemp said there is no reunion, that she’s one of his “best friends” and they were just hanging out.

Frank McCourt and the Dodgers have agreed to auction off the team to the highest bidder. I’d like that person to be Mark Cuban. I know the team is sort of a mess but I think he can restore it to it’s former glory days. Here are a few reasons that I think Cuban should go for it.
