Kevin Hart has somehow managed to become an unofficial NBA mascot. From his role in Dwyane Wade’s Jordan commercials last year to his cameo in the dunk contest Saturday night, Hart is a basketball favorite. During the All-Star game last weekend a preview aired for his new movie, Think like a man (that also features Dwyane Wade’s girlfriend, Gabrielle Union and Carmelo Anthony’s wife, Lala.) The spot features Metta World Peace, Shannon Brown, Matt Barnes and Lisa Leslie.

People tend to think that every single situation on reality TV is a set up. That there is a script the cast memorizes and all the arguments or “situations” are fake. And while there’s absolutely a bit of fiction sprinkled in, I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss everything. Today’s example involves Lakers forward Matt Barnes and his off-and-on fiance, Basketball Wives LA star Gloria Govan.

Matt Barnes still has some animosity for his former coach, Maurice Cheeks. The Lakers forward appeared on ‘Dan LeBatard is Highly Questionable’ earlier this week and recounted a story about his former coach when Barnes was with the 76ers.

Can’t say that I’m surprised by this. Looks like Lakers forward Matt Barnes and Basketball Wives LA cast member Gloria Govan are back together. The two were spotted Sunday night at Drake’s post Grammy party at Greystone in West Hollywood. Gloris has recently tweeted photos of Matt fixing their twin boys toys and Matt tweeted a photo of Gloria sleeping in the car.

Rihanna was courtside at Staples Center to watch the Lakers take on the Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakers had 27 turnovers but pulled off the win including a Kobe dunk that was extremely “from Kobe-esque”

Someone thought it would be “fun” to have members of the Los Angeles Lakers hit the stage of X-Factor to be a part of 50 Cent’s performance on the finale. While Derek Fisher opted to simply introduce ‘fiddy’; Matt Barnes, Steve Blake and rookie, Darius Morris hit the stage.

Matt Barnes was in the Lakers practice facility on Friday to get his physical for the upcoming season. He said his knee is at about 96% and he’s ready to go! Of course he was asked about rumors of two of his former teammates, Baron Davis and Dwight Howard coming to play with the Lake show:

As one of the last charity exhibition games of an extended NBA offseason. Baron Davis and Tina Thompson’s charity event featured players that all grew up in and around the City of Angels. Participants included; DeMar DeRozan, Matt Barnes (the announcer introduced Matt as the “newly single” Matt Barnes… that was weird), James Harden, Nick Young, Craig Smith, Trevor Ariza, Amir Johnson and more.
