JR Smith has made over $25 million in his NBA career. But as we’ve seen with many examples, racks on racks plus athletes doesn’t necessarily equate to lifelong riches. ESPN New York is reporting that Smith’s father, Earl sr. Is encouraging his son to stay with the Knicks for financial security.

Monday night was quite social in NYC. Carmelo Anthony, his wife Lala plus his Knicks teammates, Amar’e Stoudemire, Baron Davis and JR Smith were spotted at a dinner thrown by luxury brand Audemars Piguet at Catch in New York’s Meatpacking District.

The Mike Woodson era has been great for the Knicks so far. The team has won eight of it’s last nine games including the massacre of the Orlando Magic Wednesday night.

That first week returning from China, JR Smith was on an incredible high. Signing with the Knicks just a tunnel away from where he grew up in Newark, New Jersey. In his first game with the team he was lights out coming off the bench.

Saturday night the NBA announced it’s fining JR Smith $25,000 for posting THIS PHOTO of Tahiry Jose in his hotel room in Milwaukee on Thursday.
Friday after the Knicks Game, JR gave a statement apologizing for posting the photo.

Let me start this off by saying, JR Smith has NO Chill. The Knicks star recently started a new romance with “urban model/video vixen” Tahiry Jose aka rapper Joe Budden’s ex-girlfriend. JR and Joe had a minor Twitter tiff recently and since then, JR and Tahiry have been pretty open about their budding relationship.
JR decided to tweet a photo of Tahiry in her thong, in bed, watching a game with him. I don’t need to tell you the photo isn’t safe for work right? The word thong should alert you but, just in case.

Jeremy Lin swooped in to save the point guard position for the Knicks last month. But, did you forget that Baron Davis was expected to be the point guard piece to help the team achieve their championship aspirations? How quickly things change.
