Knicks Forward Cleanthony Early Shot and Robbed After Leaving Strip Club

Another member of the New York Knicks was set up and robbed after a night out. Early Wednesday morning, forward Cleanthony Early was shot in the right knee after leaving a Queens strip club.

Per reports, Early was ambushed in a planned attack that involved four to six masked gunmen. The incident happened at 4:15 a.m. Early and his girlfriend left CityScapes gentlemen’s club on 58th Street in Queens – Early is a native New Yorker.

The couple were in an Uber when three cars rolled up on them and boxed in the vehicle, sources said. They pulled Early from the back seat, holding him up with semi-automatic pistols. Early said the men told him, “Give me everything you got.”

They took his gold grill, two gold chains and his iPhone 6 before shooting him in the right knee. Early was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition, his injury isn’t life-threatening, but it’s unknown how it will impact his career.

This is Early’s second season with the Knicks. During his short career he’s battled injuries. He missed two months of the 2014-15 season after having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, the same one injured in Wednesday’s shooting.

Just two weeks ago, Early’s teammate was set up and robbed in his apartment by two women.
