In honor of Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson nabbing the second highest contract for a quarterback in the NFL, let’s take a look at the top QB contracts for the 2015 season.

Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons – $20,750,000

Contract deets: Five years, $103,750,000 total with $42,000,000 guaranteed

The second round pick was drafted in 2008. He’s received the following career accolades: NFL Honors – AP Offensive Rookie of the Year, Best Breakthrough Athlete ESPY Award

Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers – $20,800,000

Contract deets: Five years, $103,800,000 total with $60,000,000 guaranteed

The number one overall pick by the Panthers in the 2011 draft, Cam has set several NFL records including:

  • NFL single-season record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback: 14 (2011)
  • Most games in NFL history with at least 200 passing yards and 80 rushing yards with multiple touchdown passes and a rushing touchdown (4 games)

Contract deets: Four years, $87,400,000 total with $60,750,000 guaranteed

Grabbed by the Steelers in the first round of the 2004 draft, Big Ben has a host of accolades to his name including rookie of the year, team MVP and two Super Bowl titles:

Second place might not be that bad. Two Super Bowl appearances back-to-back. Winning a ring in a blow out to #1 on the list in the first appearance, and dating singer Ciara. 2015 has been pretty cool for Russ.

Russell was drafted in the third round with the 75th pick by the Seahawks in the  2012 NFL draft. He’s received the following career highlights:
