Newly minted Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin shares two additional things with Kobe Bryant besides playing for the Lakers. The two share a birthday, August 23rd, and both have been immortalized in wax by Madame Tussauds wax museum.

Lin’s figure was unveiled in San Francisco on Thursday at the Fisherman’s Wharf location. It features Lin dunking, something we rarely see him do in games. Lin is the first American of Chinese or Taiwanese descent to play in the NBA.

Lin grew up in the Bay Area in Palo Alto, but was born in Southern California in Torrance. He began his NBA career in 2010, playing for the Golden State Warriors, before catching on with the Knicks and igniting “Lin-sanity.”

He was traded from the Rockets to the Lakers in July.
