SXSW- South by Southwest- is happening right now in Austin, Texas. The “Conferences & Festivals” is a unique mix of music, independent films, and emerging technologies. Matt Bonner of the San Antonio Spurs and his brother Luke decided to put on a benefit concert for their charity during the week long event.

The Bonner brothers’ event is called “Sneakers and Speakers.” One of the acts that they invited to perform was none other than Bonner’s teammate in San Antonio, Stephen Jackson, a.k.a. Stak 5.

Stak  hit the stage with UGK legend Bun B. Bun B’s song “Get Throwed:”

Shaq was also in Austin for SXSW scouting for tech startups to invest in. He also participated in a few Q&A’s where he admitted that he’s a “nerd” and a “techie.” He’s high on Google glass right now.

Google Glass is a tiny prism display in glasses that view the world through google. Like wearing a pair of computer glasses that give you directions, provide information and even snap photos. The glasses include an embedded camera, microphone, GPS and, reportedly, use bone induction to give you sound.

Voice control is used to control the device; you say ‘ok glass’ to get a range of options including taking pictures, videos, send messages using speech to text, ‘hang out’ with people or get directions to somewhere. You access these options by saying them out loud.
