Dwyane Wade Teams Up With Hublot For Event At Forbidden City In Beijing

New watch alert Hublot– Jay Z

Dwyane Wade signed a deal with watchmaker Hublot a few months back. Wednesday night, the NBA superstar hosted a charity event in China for the brand with proceeds to benefit actor Jet Li’s non-profit organization, the One Foundation and Dwyane’s own Wade’s World Foundation.

It was also the debut of Wade’s limited edition King Power watch. The event was held at Forbidden City in Beijing. The challenge called for DWade to score a maximum number of baskets, each corresponding to a sum of money (50K, 100K etc.) on an increasing scale of difficulty and winnings. The event raised 1 million RMB for the charities.

The 48mm diameter timepiece, which is limited to only 500, is encased in micro-blasted black ceramic, with basketball net-like stitching on the leather wrist strap, and red accents along with Wade’s #3 jersey number. The Hublot King Power watch will retail for $20,000.

If you aren’t up on Hublot. The company specializes in the Art of Fusion concept in Watchmaking, combining exotic materials (gold, ceramic, tantalum, red gold, titanium…) with Swiss watchmaking tradition.

Dwade’s “Lady love” Gabrielle Union and his Personal Assistant Lisa Joseph-Metelus were also on hand and gifted with watches.
