Nick Young Drains Game Winner In Double-Overtime At The Drew

While we wait for NFL and NBA seasons to return, a few summer league highlights from the Drew League in Watts, ca. and a Seattle, wa. Pro-Am.

Nick Young drained a game-winning-three in double overtime on Sunday at the Drew giving his M.H.P. team the win over Problems. Final: Problems 104 M.H.P. 107 in Double Overtime.

Young said he felt like Pau Gasol this off season, with all the trade rumors circulating with his name attached. Heading into next season, Young expects a better working relationship with head coach Byron Scott.

“(Kupchak) says, I’m talented, but just work with coach,” Young said. “Work off of coach and make sure everybody is on the same page.”

On his new teammate, NBA Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams joining the Lakers.

“I don’t want us fighting for every shot,” Young said. “Lou is my guy. It should be all right. No one can really guard anybody when we’re out there. You can’t leave me open. You can’t leave him open.”
