Corey Brewer Goes Off For 51 Points During Timberwolves vs. Rockets [Video]

Houston Rockets v Minnesota Timberwolves

If I told you an NBA player went off for 51 points Friday night when the Timberwolves and Houston Rockets faced off, your first guess as to who that player was would probably be someone like James Harden. But this wasn’t someone on the Rockets, it was one of the Timberwolves… Next assumption might be Kevin Love, right? Nope, not him either.

Corey Brewer dropped 51 points in the TWolves 112-110 win over the Rockets. Brewer matches Kevin Love’s franchise record for points, and he added six steals. The only other NBA players to have done that, Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson and Clyde Drexler.

Brewer made 19 field goals, plus 11 of his 15 free-throw attempts. The scoring outburst ties Kevin Durant for the fourth-highest single-game total of the 2013-2014 season. Durant, Brewer, Terrence Ross, Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James have all reached the 50-point mark this season

Brewer signed with the TWolves last summer after spending time with the Denver Nuggets the previous season.
