13 Year-Old Black Female Pitcher Mo’Ne Davis Leads Team To Little League World Series

Say hello to 13-year-old pitcher Mo’Ne Davis, SHE led her team into the Little League World Series by pitching a no hitter on Sunday. The Taney Youth Baseball Association Little League of Philadelphia had an 8-0 victory over a team from Delaware.

The South Philly pitcher struck out six in the six-inning game during the Mid-Atlantic Regional championship game. She also has a 70-MPH fast ball and his the team’s lead-off hitter.

Mo’Ne becomes the 18th girl to play in the Little League World Series in 68 years.
