I’m a firm believer that most athletes are as competitive in other areas of their life as they are in sports. They compete with each other with cars, jewelry, gadgets and women. So on Saturday when San Diego Chargers LB Shaun Phillps sent out the following tweet, an interesting conversation ensued.

It is Super Bowl weekend in Indianapolis and the jocks, stars and affiliated have descended for lots of fun before the kick off tomorrow. Check out photos from ESPN’s Next party where Drake performed and DJ Dnice set the sound selection for the evening. Some of the attendees included Shaquille O’Neal and girlfriend Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander, Drew Brees, Hope Solo, Spike Lee, Tim Tebow, Brandon Marshall, Marcellus Wiley, Jerry Rice, Cam Newton and 2000 others. The event was held in a warehouse space.

Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow and his faith has been discussed Ad nauseam for quite sometime. His latest endorsement is with Jockey and underwear line. In a bit of “inspired” marketing, Jockey is presenting Tim’s ad with the quarterback featured not in his jockeys but a pair of jeans.

Fresh off the launch of her new make up line, Motives, Lala Anthony was spotted in Miami headed to lunch (and of course shooting her reality show) with her partners in crime Po and cousin Dice plus BFF Trina. I love the bright colors she’s rocking. So excited for spring. Lala’s body has been looking absolutely dreamy as of late! I see you, WORK!

Golden State Warriors guard Nate Robinson brings energy and fun to the teams he plays on. He also is a MAJOR prankster. No slipping when he’s around. Nate caught some of his teammates cat napping on the bus to Sacramento. Nate caught Brandon Rush, Dorell Wright, Ekpe Udoh and one other whose identity I can’t make out napping.

The Clippers may have run out of wind last night against the Denver Nuggets, ending their 3-game winning streak but Clipper fan Rihanna was in the building rocking a new look!

Madonna is the half-time performer at this year’s Super Bowl. At a press conference today, she showed off her newly acquired salsa skills that she’s developed in honor of Victor Cruz. Although Madonna hasn’t said who she’s going for, seems like she’s leaning towards the Giants

The NY Post was sent an e-mail that Gisele Bundchen sent out to family and friends asking them to pray for the safety and success for her husband, Patriots QB Tom Brady and his team in the Super Bowl this weekend.
