Was Matthew Dellavedova’s Foul On Andre Iguodala Intentional?

Game 1 of the NBA Finals went down Thursday night between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs were ran out the arena – largely thanks to the Warriors bench – but of course there was drama with some of the calls.

2015 Finals MVP Andre Iguodala had a pretty physically moment after taking a shot to his naughty bits from Cavs’ Matthew Dellavedova. Delly has earned a reputation as a scrappy ala the Thunder’s Stecen Adams and Serge Ibaka, or Grizzlies’ forward Matt Barnes.

After the game, Iggy told the media, he’s not going to knock what a man has to do to feed his family and stay in the NBA.

I’m not going to judge or say anything negative about him,” Iguodala said after the Warriors’ 104-89 win. “He’s out there competing. There are a lot of emotions going on out there. I respect a lot of guys’ hustle in this league. You’ve got guys who’ve got to get a little dirty, got to be a little physical, to make a life and to feed their family, so I can only respect that. For me, it’s just keeping my composure and continue to try to do things for my team to help us win.”
