Former NBA Star Jason Williams Talks Suicidal Thoughts, $100K Bets & More With Charlamagne

Jason-Williams

Recently former NBA star and current basketball analyst Jason Williams appeared on “The Brilliant Idiots” podcast with Charlamagne and Andrew Schulz.

In a snippet from the interview, Jason explained what happened in the motorcycle accident that effectively ended his NBA career, and the suicidal thoughts that plagued him as he was rehabbing.

He also went in depth about how the lifestyle of being a pro athlete shaped his spending and thoughts on money. He also revealed that he has witnessed NBA players bet $100,000 on things like rock, paper, scissors.

Williams has a book coming out in February where he promises to go in depth about his background, the emotions he went through losing his NBA career and the side of him that people didn’t know.

The topic of ego and money among professional athletes is one I cover in my book PostGame Pass: access into “the life” available now on Amazon and barBarnes and Noble.
