Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin is scheduled to have surgery on his elbow and is expected to miss at least 10 games, and possibly 4-6 weeks. Blake is suffering from a staph infection in his right elbow and will miss this weekend’s All Star game.

“You could tell when something is infected. You can just look at it,” Clippers coach Doc Rivers said Sunday. “With a bursa sac, it could just be that too, but it just didn’t look right. [Powell] caught that and sent him early enough — thank goodness.”

Griffin’s been replaced by Portland Trailblazer Damian Lillard.
