NASCAR brawl breaks off between Jeff Gordon and Brad Keselowski [Video]

There’s been quite a few NASCAR brawls this season. The latest involved Brad Keselowski and Jeff Gordon who exchanged bumps on the racetrack in the closing laps of Sunday’s AAA Texas 500.

Gordon tracked Keselowski down on pit road to have words with him. He stopped his car next to Keselowski’s, climbed out and moved over to the No. 2 window. Gordon removed his helmet and started yelling at Keselowski.

Meanwhile, Kevin Harvick, who nudged Keselowski out of the way to finish second, came up from behind Keselowski and gave him a shove.

A few more words were exchanged between Keselowski and Gordon and then both crews got involved and a large pack of people began pushing and shoving, which led to punches being thrown and general mayhem.

“Out of nowhere I just got slammed by the 2, and I cut my left rear tire,” said a clearly upset Gordon, a four-time champion, after the drivers were finally separated by NASCAR officials. “I mean he’s a dips–t. The way he races, I don’t know how he’s ever won a championship. I’m just sick and tired of it. We had the car. We had the position.

“He gets himself in these situations and as far as I’m concerned he’s got to pay the consequences. I’m going to race him the same way he races me. That kind of stuff is just uncalled for. To them, it’s just a racing incident, but to me it’s a bunch of crap.”
