Back in the 90’s, one of my favorite MTV shows was “House of Style.” The show featured super models as hosts, and introduced viewers to the behind the scenes world of the fashion game by featuring designers and other industry players. MTV brought the show back in 2012, and now have revamped it once again with a new host, Nick Young’s boo, Iggy Azalea.

Azalea was embraced by the fashion crowd very early on in her career: Alexander Wang hired her to perform at the Coachella bash he held to celebrate his upcoming H&M collaboration, Steve Madden threw a private concert in Brooklyn the week of her album’s release, and she’s already a front row fixture at Fashion Week. Her upcoming season of “House of Style” contains eight episodes, and will focus on the tightly knit relationship between music, tech and fashion. Interestingly enough, Azalea is the show’s first host who’s a musician instead of a supermodel, and she’s following in the very esteemed footsteps of Cindy Crawford, Rebecca Romijn and Molly Sims.

The show makes its debut on August 4th.
