Dodgers Get A New “Mascot” But Not Really [Photo]

I guess the Los Angeles Dodgers are trying to make things more family friendly at the park. The Dodgers quietly rolled out a new mascot – the team has never had one before – the Dodgers aren’t actually calling it a “mascot,” its being referred to as a”performance character.” yeahhhhhh.

“It’s not a mascot,” said Dodgers executive vice president of marketing Lon Rosen. “It’s a unique performance character.”

Looks like an ugly mascot to me. Kinda says they are embarrassed by it too calling it a “performance character.” They should scrap it and start over. I have no idea what a “Dodger” is but in my mind, it’s not this.

A blue eyed gringo with a raccoon hiding under his hat for a Dodger’s mascot? Anything but that. How about four straw hatted turn of the century commuter trolley dodgers that sing barbershop songs? One from each race, like its a small world. OK back to the gringo.
