Remember when M.I.A. performed with Madonna and Nicki Minaj during the Super Bowl halftime show a few years back and flipped off the 167 million households? The NFL is still upset with the singer and is looking to collect $16 million from her.

The NFL has added a $15.1 million restitution, the alleged value of public exposure she received by appearing in the 2012 halftime show. They are basing the figure on what advertisers would have paid for ads during that same time frame. This is in addition to the $1.5 million they are trying to collect for allegedly breaching her performance contract and “tarnishing the league’s goodwill and reputation.”

MIA’s lawyer has said the NFL is attempting to bully her and that “The claim for restitution lacks any basis in law, fact, or logic.”
