Lob City returns as Chris Paul goes off for 42 in Clippers vs. Warriors [video]

Chris-paul-Blake

Clippers vs. Warriors has become a serious rivalry. Thursday night, the Clippers beat the Warriors 126-115. It was the battle of the point guards; Steph Curry’s shot is a thing of beauty, the Warriors guard went off for 38 points – downside, he had 10 turnovers but coming off a back to back, that might have something to do with it.  Chris Paul was in a zone. His line for the night: 42 points, 15 assists and the six steals.

But fear not, even though Blake Griffin said before the season started that Lob City was dead, that CP3 to Blake connect was ACTIVE at Staples Center.

CP3 was one point shy of his NBA career high. Check out highlights of his 42 point performance.

You want to know how serious this clippers vs. Lakers rivalry is, the Clippers refused to share chapel time with each other before the match up.

It’s a long-standing tradition for Christians on both teams to have chapel together. Each NBA arena offers this service to the players, and there is usually one time and one room.

That wasn’t the case Thursday.

According to multiple sources, the Warriors were surprisingly given a separate, earlier, time for their own chapel services. The Clippers held their own private chapel.

“Man, they don’t want to have chapel with us?” one team source asked. “I never heard that before, but OK.”

Yikes. But, it’s been an interesting open to the season. The Lakers beat the Clippers and then went to Oakland, where they faced off against the Warriors and loss. Who then in turn came to LA to lose to the Clippers. How’s that for a love triangle.
