Who knows why San Francisco 49’ers tight end Vernon Davis spent the last week of training camp toting around a “Chucky doll” from the movie “Child’s Play.” Vernon not only terrorized his teammates with it for Instagram, he also took it to lunch.
So far the only analogy that I can come up with is that Chucky’s tag line was “wanna play,” so perhaps Vernon is using good guy Chucky as a symbol for the Niners plan to butcher the competition like a homicidal manic on the playing field this season.
