Vikings RB Adrian Peterson wants to rush for 2500 yards next season

Adrian-Peterson

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson came up 9 yards shy of breaking Eric Dickerson’s single season rushing record in the 2012 season. We haven’t even got to training camp yet but AP is throwing up a lofty goal for the 2013 season. Peterson said one of his goals for the upcoming season is to rush for 2,500 yards.

“It’s not something I’m going to focus on early. I’ll let the chips fall where they may. I’ve got my bar set for 2,500 yards,” Peterson told SI.com recently. “If I can go over that, the record will be shattered. But ultimately I want a couple rings. You gotta start at one.

If anyone can do it, I suppose it would be Peterson. It’s not his focus but it’s on the list. I can appreciate that.
