Weird things are happening in the Western conference down the final stretch of the season. The Spurs have injuries to Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili – he could miss the start of the playoffs because of a strained hamstring that is expected to keep him on the sidelines for three to four weeks – the Clippers have a bit of in-fighting jumping off, and now the Nuggets have lost their second leading scorer for the season.

Thursday night during Nuggets vs. Mavericks, forward Danilo Gallinari suffered an injury that per Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowsk appears to be a torn ACL. Check out video of the play.

The Nuggets are already without the services of their starting point guard, Ty Lawson who suffered a complete tear of his plantar fascia in the right heel but is expected back in a few weeks. Right now the Nuggets have the third spot in the West and look to be facing the Golden State Warriors in round one of the playoffs. Before his injury, Gallinari was averaging 16.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
