Thursday a memorial service took place at the Nokia theatre, right across from the Staples Center for Lakers owner, Dr. Jerry Buss. The service epitomized who Dr. Buss was, friend, mentor, father, innovator, classy and glamorous. A virtual who’s who of Laker and NBA history shared their memories of Dr. Buss including; Phil Jackson, Jerry West, Pat Riley, David Stern, Shaq, Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

    This was such a beautiful memorial. Before his death, I didn’t understand the love that Dr.Buss had for the Lakers and the Lakers for him. It blew me away! I would have loved to have met him. Thanks, Ms. Jill.
