Kerry Rhodes confirms incident with Darnell Dockett but denies Dockett spit on him

Kerry Rhodes has gone on record about the incident between he and teammate, Darnell Dockett from Sunday’s game against the Jets. Initially it was reported that the altercation ended with Dockett spitting in Rhodes face. Rhodes has said via an e-mail released via the Cardinals, that while the two did have a situation, spitting was not involved. As for the details that led up to that incident, Rhodes is keeping mum:

“Yes, we had a disagreement on the field but, no he did NOT spit in my face. I’m not going to get into all the details because I think those are things you keep within the team. But Darnell and I talked after the game, we’re both moving on and I’ll leave it at that.”

Via text, Dockett’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus said: “I don’t think w will be commenting at this time as it is an internal team matter.”

Coach Ken Whisenhunt told KTAR’s Doug and Wolf on Monday that “we generally prefer to keep internal matters like that within the team and not discuss them publicly.”
