Nets Deron WIlliams & Wizards AJ Price have a little NBA preseason beef [video]

It’s just preseason and it was only the Nets first game in their new home but players are already a bit Chippy. In the last minute of the Nets and Wizards match up Monday night, Deron Williams and AJ Price had a little altercation.

Price was hit with a flagrant foul after he bumped Deron Williams who had just stolen the ball and headed up the court on a fast break going in for a lay up. There was absolutely no attempt to go after the ball. Of course what followed was the faux bravado and chest thumping.

Williams said Price, who was raised and played his high school basketball on Long Island, kept saying, ‘I’m home. I’m home.’”

“I hate when people just start talking for no reason,” Williams said. “That’s pretty much what he did.

“Maybe he had some boys in the crowd he wanted to impress while he can with the little minutes he’s going to get this year.

“‘It’s my home now.’ I told him that.”

ETHER… or maybe since Deron plays for the Nets I should say “Super Ugly”… I really hope you catch that wordplay, it was witty! :giggle:

Seeing as it was the first game played in Barclays, let me point a few highlights per visitors to the venue:

– There are cell phone charging stations and :GASP: actual reception
– the lounges are sexy
– They have gear that says “Deez Nets” LMAOOOOOOOO that’s funny. I love it. Perks to a rapper being involved in the marketing mix.

– They sell hardwood basketballs

And, in what might be the ultimate piece of irony, they feature scenes from Spike Lee’s classic, “Do the right thing” on the big screen
