Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov says he’ll rap with Jay-Z at The Barclays Center concerts

The Barclays Center will officially open next month with a series of concerts from rap superstar and minority Nets owner Jay-Z. But what you didn’t know, Nets majority owner Mikhail Prokhorov plans on receiving co-billing for the shows as he plans on jumping on stage and showing off his rhyming skills.

“According to Mr. Prokhorov, a reprise is in the works, but this time in downtown Brooklyn, where Jay-Z will open the $1 billion Barclays Center with a series of sold-out concerts this fall. ‘Yes, I will rap at his concert,’ Mr. Prokhorov informed Crain’s via email. ‘I am in rehearsals now 10 hours a day and plan to demand joint billing.’”

I love that Prokhorov doesn’t seem to take himself too seriously. He even weighed in on the “beef” between Kanye West and Nets player Kris Humphries a few months ago. He’s the NBA’s very own “Most interesting man in the world”
