Basketball Wives Jennifer Williams drops lawsuit against Nia Crooks, hangs out with singer Maxwell

Basketball Wives Miami cast member Jennifer Williams is having a busy summer. In addition to promoting her Lucid lipgloss line and various appearances, Jennifer has decided to drop her civil suit against Nia Crooks. If you recall, Nia was Evelyn Lozada’s personal assistant and a former friend of Jennifer’s. During season four, Nia slapped Jennifer while the circle attended a horse race.

Per TMZ, Jennifer dropped the lawsuit because she is “already dealing with her difficult divorce and did not feel that it was necessary to continue to pursue civil action.” Plus, if Nia is broke like Jennifer claimed, there are no funds to be gained from continuing with the suit. The assault charge is still pending.

Jennifer’s already complicated divorce became a bit stickier earlier this month when it was alleged that her estranged husband, Eric Williams has a new child that was conceived while the couple was still legally married.

Tavia Serena Cannon filed a Complaint for Support in PA last week, she claims she had a child with Eric in October 2011. Cannon says she makes $300/week babysitting and wants Williams to fork over some cash and medical coverage for the kid.

Here’s the rub … at the time the baby was allegedly conceived — Jan/Feb 2011 — the former NBAer was still married to Jennifer … who didn’t file for divorce until June 2011.

Sources close to Jennifer tell TMZ this news comes as a shock. They claim the “BB Wife” had NO CLUE about the child. Their divorce is still pending in a NJ court.

But Jennifer may not even be concerned about all of that. Williams recently tweeted a cozy looking photo of herself and R&B singer Maxwell. A new “boo” would certainly help to ease the sting of Eric having another child. Even if it was conceived while they were separated.

What??? It could…
