Browns DB Joe Haden takes Ohio girl to Prom

Cleveland Browns DB Joe Haden saved the prom dreams of an Ohio girl after her date bailed on her at the last minute.

Joyce Grendel asked Haden if he would attend her high school prom with her, a bold step taken via Twitter after her original date backed out in the days before the event. To everyone’s surprise, Haden said yes, and showed up right on time to pick up Grendel on Friday in his own white Lamborghini.

Haden was familiar with the teen as she was a huge supporter of him. Showing up at his events and signings so those previous interactions set the stage for Haden’s first prom and her parents comfort levels for a pro athlete taking their daughter out.
