Kobe Bryant wants Lakers Brass to trade Pau Gasol or assure him he’s staying

Things are getting chippy on the Lakers and you know what that means, more potential drama in Laker land. Kobe Bryant has put Lakers management on notice. Trade Pau or don’t but whatever you plan on doing, let him know. These comments came Sunday night following a loss to the Suns.

“it’s hard for Gasol to, “invest himself completely or imerse himself completely in the game with all this trade talk.”

“I wish management would come out and either trade him or not trade him,” Byrant said.

“I’d rather for them to not trade him at all. If they want to do something, I wished they’d just fuc**ng do it and if they’re not going to do it, come out and say you’re not going to do it. …This way he can be comfortable and he can go out and he can perform and he can play and invest all of himself into (the team).”

Of course this frustration has been building. Who can forget the botched Chris Paul trade at the top of the season that caused Lamar Odom to climb into his feelings and demand a trade to Dallas. (We see how well that worked out for LO, understood his disappointment in the business aspect but, that trade did nothing for either side. but anyway)

Bryant believes he, Gasol and Bynum can be the core with a few tweaks but all this trade talk is causing a feeling of instability. I agree with that, the Lakers need a point guard (that’s been my mantra for several weeks.) Spacing on the floor is a problem. We know that Pau is a sensitive guy and truthfully, even if management doesn’t make some huge announcement for the media. They should speak with Pau and perhaps Kobe behind closed doors and lay out the vision.

So far, the Jim Buss era is definitely not one of my favorites. He’s going to waste the last good years left in Kobe.
