Michael Beasley Takes Up Ballet & Is Hosting A Charity Game For St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital

Timberwolves forward Michael Beasley has hired a firm for an image make over. That’s a good thing. His summer was rocky with an arrest for marijuana possession and an incident with a fan during a pro am game in New York where he mushed a fan.

He’s also incorporated yoga, ballet and karate into his fitness routine to get him ready for the season. Yoga is probably really good because lack of focus seems to be a HUGE issue with him.

Beasley is putting on a charity game in Minnesota this weekend, to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Kevin Durant is also hosting a game this weekend in Oklahoma City was scheduled to appear but pulled out a few days ago. Teammate,  Kevin Love  and  John Wall also pulled out.

The game is being held at Osseo high school. Players scheduled to appear include, DeMarcus Cousins, Sam Young, Josh Howard, Keith Bogans, Mario Chalmers, Dorell Wright, Derrick Caracter. Pops Mensah-Bonsu, DaeQuan Cook, Bobby Maze and Jimmy Butler.

It’s so easy to slip out of the league. Talent only gets you so many chances. I hope it works.
