Deion Sanders Files For Divorce, Blames Pilar’s Acting Career

I have to say I wasn’t shocked to find out that Deion Sanders and his wife Pilar are divorcing after 11 years of marriage. Most athlete marriages end in divorce and while the union appeared to be solid that’s not surprising. What was shocking, the fact that it’s Deion who filed for divorce.

A few weeks ago, rumors surfaced that Deion was cheating on Pilar with a 19-year old woman he met via Twitter. NFL player Adam “Pacman” Jones was his wing man.

Deion’s alleged reason for filing divorce:

“Enough is enough. I never signed up for all this. Enough is enough. If I wanted a model or a television star I would have married one a long time ago. All I wanted was a housewife.”

The confusing thing about that statement, Pilar IS an ex model/video vixen. Maybe he forgot

Then there’s the equally confusing fact that he and Pilar had a reality show, Prime Time Love

I guess he’s ignoring his contribution. This was Deion’s second marriage. The couple have three children together. Pilar released a statement to Hello Beautiful:

It’s unfortunate that my husband decided to take this course of action…I’m surprised and hurt… As I said to my children, we must take a minute breath and Trust God.”

I guess we’re going to see single, retired Deion in action.

Dione supposedly accepted the Lord several years ago. He claims that he believes the Bible is the inspired word of God. So, in spite of this he decides to divorce his wife. I would say that he apparently picks and chooses which scriptures he accepts and lives his life by. I makes me question if he was really saved after all.

For those who criticize Deion, my question to all of you is Do you Like that Bible? Well according to God’s word All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of the Lord and yes he is saved, but remember Deion is still human, and on his best day according to God’s word he his still worth an old dirty rag. That’s why we as Christians ask God for forgiveness daily. Or does the Catholic church teach about forgiveness of sins(You to God yourself for that not your priest or Mary). I know the Apostolic/Pentecostal church does.

fortunately and unfortunately WHAT ELSE could and/or would you ask for a BEAUTIFUL wife, and family, a stunning career, a great life with all the richs and a career after sports with a reality tv show. And you have a problem with your wife having a little independence(BUT LOYAL TO YOU CLEARLY SEEN, and creating some of her own success.
It sounds like one of a few things, since he was caught he is beating her to the punch on the divorce, or either hes afraid she is going to be extremely successful(which i doubt its this one), or either he has a little insecurities floating around. damn shame!

Pilar was a nobody until she met Deion. He made her without him she was a nobody. How many of you heard of her or seen before she got to Mrs. Sanders? My point exactly NOBODY!!! If you observe her everything she has tried to accomplish never goes anywhere. Looks don’t last forever. When I watched their reality show I didn’t see where she was a good wife because it looks like their maids did everything such as cooked, clean, got their kids ready for school and did the laundry so, for those of you that thinks that’s a good wife something is truly wrong with you. Deion seems to be a good husband to me and any woman would want a man hard working man. I think we all should leave it in Gods hand because every marriage and relationship has problems. If the world was perfect we wouldn’t need GOD!!

She DID do her job, in this case that was to be an attractive woman for Deion to present to the world as his wife. These two weren’t clear in their understanding of that? No, SHE wasn’t clear, so now Deion is clearing the air about things. She is a good catch for plenty of eligible bachelors and will land on her feet. What about Deion? It’s play time!

@ Jill…lmbo..so true!!! @ Lovely39…are you the one he’s cheating with…ijs!!!! As much as he had going on, the maids and nannys were necessary but everything that his wife does behind the scene helps keep her family together as well. As a wife of a busy husband and a busy 21 month old…the outside doesn’t always see what we have to go through to be a good wife. And to help you to understand, being a good wife goes behind cooking, cleaning and raising children… When you get married you will understand it better by and by. @ Lorenzo, God doesn’t like divorce but yes He does forgive us. But the Bible also says that (paraphrasing) if a man/wife cheats to let them go. So he is letting her go after she stood by him through his many road trips, his many women, and his many mental breakdowns… So why is he divorcing her…oh yea, because he didn’t sign up for that…neither did she…but she was willing to sacrifice… Be blessed all….

If the women stayed at home and took care of his kids while he was out playing ball year around, the after he moved to the NFL sunday’s, now that is is retire why can’t she have a career. Don’t shoot the messenger! lol…But I am actually surprised that they are getting a divorce. All the glits and glamour seemed to work for them. Also, they genuinely seemed to like each other, lol which may seem like a silly thing to say but it’s missing in alot of relationships. And I love hte Lord and believe heavily in the Bible, but I am not against divorce! And who knows, they may not go through with it.

I am an family law attorney in Dallas, Texas. If this was true, it would be new worthy information blasted over the television stations and radio stations. I have not seen any headlines except for this. When you are in spot light as he and his wife, you will heard about conflict…I will be willing to bet there is none and this is a rumor.

Never liked Dion from the time he quit the Falcon’s to “seek a sure thing super bowl team” He showboats too much and by watching his cheesy fairy commercials of late …just confirms that he is a sell out. Anything for a buck and some “prime time” exposure. He sucks as a commentator on the NFL network and is borderline racist because he rarely gives accoulades to any non-black players. granted…he had a good career when he was running the ball…but refused to tackle or risk getting hurt by hitting defenders….and always ran out of bounds too quick…even if the game was on the line…

Did I mention that he overdresses for the tv shows just to give the impression that he outclasses the rest of the commentators….he wears $4,000 suits but looks like a huckster preacher…now the NFL channel has hired a drug taking pediofile Micheal Irvin who also uses elaborate dress codes from another planet to distract you from his illiterate ramblings….

Like I said before…I was living in Atlanta and was floored that in an after game (loss) locker room interview…Dion stated that he will ask for a trade so he could go to a real team that had a chance to actually win a super bowl….If Jerry Glandville was armed …I think he would have shot him on live TV….
