Steelers Linebacker James Harrison Has Strong Words About Commissoner Roger Goodell

I wonder if the NFL can issue retroactive fines once the lockout is lifted. Either way, it’s safe to say that Steelers linebacker, James Harrison won’t make it on Commissioner Roger Goodell’s Christmas list. In a recent interview with Men’s Health Journal, the outspoken Harrison had quite a bit to say about Goodell and the fines for illegal hits he received in the 2010 season.

“My rep is James Harrison, mean son of a b—- who loves hitting the hell out of people,” he says. “But up until last year, there was no word of me being dirty — till Roger Goodell, who’s a crook and a puppet, said I was the dirtiest player in the league. If that man was on fire and I had to piss to put him out, I wouldn’t do it. I hate him and will never respect him.”

Harrison said he still boils over losing to Green Bay in last year’s Super Bowl: He wanted so badly to mount the postgame podium, snatch the trophy from Roger Goodell, and tell him to his face, on national TV, exactly where to stick those fines. “I’d have whispered in his ear, ‘Why don’t you quit and do something else, like start your own league in flag football?’ ”

But the commissioner wasn’t his only target, Harrison also had words about teammates, Ben Roethlisberger and Rashard Mendenhall basically laying a lot of the blame on losing the Superbowl on the two (Ben’s 2 pass interceptions, a few fumbles from Mendenhall… Yikes)

With rumors swirling that the lockout will be ending in a few days, is there any wonder that Harrison is now back peddling on some of these statements. Camp could be a sticky place WHEN (not if) it opens.
